Due to the potential for bad weather and poor road conditions on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, we are cancelling school as well as all activities.
Tomorrow's High School Basketball game at Centre has been postponed until Feb. 5th!
White City After School Program is cancelled for today! Please call the office to make arrangements for your kids if needed.
High School Scholars Bowl at Wakefield scheduled for today has been postponed. It will be made up at a later date.
No JH or HS basketball practices after school today!
Student Handbook Reminder for 8th Graders
From pg 10, "Students in 8th grade not passing all required courses will not be allowed to participate in promotion ceremonies. Required classes include three years of Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts, Reading, and Physical Education.”

White City Schools will host an end of the semester Awards Assembly on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 9:00 am in the gym. Friends and family are invited to attend.
Mrs. Haslouer's 4th grade class helped Mrs. K's Kindergarten class write letters to Santa today!
Junior High BOYS will not have Basketball practice today!
On December 21st school will dismiss at 1:00pm. Both Hope and White City will not have ASP that day!
White City Schools will be hosting a representative from Kansas Workforceone on Thursday, November 30th. In the morning, he will be visiting with sophomores, juniors, and seniors about Financial Literacy. In the afternoon, he will be visiting with 5th - 7th grade students about Social Media Do's and Don'ts.
6th and 7th grade (with the help of Mr. Charly) did Pumpkin Pie in a Mug today. They mixed solids and liquids to make a chemical reach when heated. With a successful experiment they finish by eating the Pumpkin Pie in their mugs.

Kevin Carter competed in the Mid-Kansas Transition Council's Job Olympics on Friday Nov. 17th. He competed in 5 job skills. He placed 3rd in job applications, and he got first in busing and setting tables. Because he did so well in all his events he brought home the 1st place plaque as a school. He was coached by Mrs. Friedli. White City High School is proud of how well Kevin represented the school at this competition. Congratulations Kevin and Mrs. Friedli!
KSHSAA Buffer week is this week. No High School students can be in they gym before or after school!
Gameday for Junior High Basketball in White City! Girls will tip off at 5:00 with the boys to follow vs St. Xavier. Go Heat!
The High School Football team is leaving at 2pm today for Osborne! Please help us send them off by lining Main Street to cheer them on to victory against the Bulldogs! Go Heat!

White City 3rd graders were given Candy pumpkins and toothpicks for STEM. The challenge was to build the tallest structure possible that would stand freely for 30 seconds without falling over.
