Have you noticed the big refresh?
Over the course of the 2026 Summer, White City Schools undertook major renovations to the hallways, gym, and cafeteria. The floors were redone to have a different pattern and look brighter. The walls were repainted to match the new floor. Indeed, the gym might be the biggest renovation of all. The gym floors were redone, while old and unused banners and wall decorations were taken down. Benches were deep cleaned and repainted, for those which needed a refresh.
Many of the High school and middle school students we talked to say that they enjoy the sleek, new look of the new hallways and floors. For the athletes the gym is a welcome refurbishment choice. Students feel the gym was in need of a little touch up and that having a pleasant environment for the students, parents and opposing schools is quite important.
Our Principal, Mr. Kane Hensley, said this about the refresh: “The updates made to our school over the summer have made a huge difference in making our building look cleaner, brighter, and more welcoming. A lot of hard work went into making these improvements happen, and I want to give a big thank you to Darlene, the School Board, and our custodians for all they have done to make this possible. “
