The JV athletes are moving up to starter!
On April 27th, 2026 the Rural Vista JV track team arrived at Tescott in Ottawa County, KS. There, multiple track teams gathered from a variety of different schools, such as Bennington, Chase County, Lincoln and more. Who would come out on top?
Many of our Rural Vista students participated in the events. Nolan Effland placed first for the 400 meter dash. Nabar Valbuena got 2nd in the 3200 meter event.
In jumping, Bradyen Hollomon placed 3rd for long jump with a distance of 16’ 4.5”
Also worth mentioning: Malakhi Kramer, who placed 4th in the 100 meter dash. Landon Rice, who placed 4th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 59.88.
The girls did just as well, with Reagan Feist coming in 5th place for the Girls 200m dash, and Lilli Stilwell, who got first for Girls high jump.
After this, the Rural Vista team competed in the much shorter sprints, such as the 100m,400m and 800m.Finally, the team closed off with the 4x4 relay.
After a long day, the meet closed off with Rural Vista, placing first overall, coming home with another victory.
