Rural Vista has a need for speed!
The Iola track meet was held on April 20, 2026. Overall, our boys and girls did a remarkable job at this track meet.
Starting off with the 100m dash, Celian Van Bemten got 4th place with a time of 11.57. Kole Reidy dominated the 400m dash and got 3rd out of 30 people with a time of 52.82. Bryson Allen crushed the 800m run at 2nd place with a time of 2:10.13. In the 110m hurdles finals, Grant Eskeldson got a time of 16.74 and finished with 2nd place!
Now, with throwing, Trent Hoff got 41-4.00 in shot put and finished in 3rd place. Also in the shot put, Mason Marsh threw a good 37-11.50 with a position of 11th place with 53 other people participating in the throwing event. Jeremiah Peterson got a distance of 32-0.00 and finished in 29th place.
Don’t forget the girls! In throwing, Journey Peterson threw a 34-11.00 in shot put and got 4th place out of 44 people in that event In Discus Finals, Journey threw a 100-7.00 and got 4th place again with 41 other people participating.
