The 8th and one 9th graders went to Salina Tech Monday March 25th. We left at 8:30 am and returned at 2:15pm.
Salina Tech has been offering educational opportunities since 1965. Salina Tech offers education for numerous career paths. Among other career paths, it offers education for future diesel mechanics, nurses, and dental hygienists.
They split up into groups, and we went with different tour guides. We had a chance to learn what kind of jobs they have there. In this way, we explored what we might want to do when we get out of High School. The trip there is a kind of preview for students of how long a particular career path might take. The experience was both entertaining and informative.
After we left we had a chance to stop on the way home and eat. After getting back at 2:15, school resumed for the rest of the day.
