Industrial Tech Highlights
by Mr. Lawrenz
October 10, 2006
All Industrial Tech students have completed safety certification on the power tools. Woods I students have finished clip boards and students are moving on to individual projects. Building a barn-style shed, constructing advanced projects, and learning carpentry skills keep the Woods II students busy. Some of the woods projects include: corner cabinets, beds, dressers, coffee tables, end tables, entertainment centers, plant stands, gun cabinets, and night stands from oak, walnut, and cherry wood.
Welding projects in the works include feed bunks, corral gates, go-cart frames, and several students are working on improving the appearances of their vehicles. General Shop students get to explore the curriculum areas of drafting, woodworking, and welding.
You're invited to stop by the shop or take a look in the Commons Area later in the year as students begin to finish projects and put them on display.
