Enrollment Dates
July 30….. New Student Enrollment, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m
(Please bring birth certificate, social security card, immunization records, and health insurance information.)
July 31….. Returning Student Enrollment, 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
August 1…Returning Student Enrollment, 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Summer School
Summer School for K-8 students who have qualified for this program will be held from July 21-Aug 1. The High School summer school opportunity will be individualized with times to be announced to the students. Mr. Sawyer will be working with the math students and Mrs. Zirkle will be working with the Language Arts/Reading students. They will be contacting students to schedule appointments for classes.
Summer Conditioning & Sports Camps
The weight room will be open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 – 8:45 a.m. for anyone who is interested in lifting. HS Boys football camp has been tentatively scheduled for July 21- 25 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. HS Girls basketball camp has been tentatively scheduled for July 7 – 11 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Final dates of sports camps will depend upon BOE approval and on our summer maintenance schedule. Coaches will be in contact with athletes when camp dates are finalized.
Graduated Seniors…Still Need Help with Scholarship Apps?
Mrs. Gant will be here for a few days after school is out. If you need help with scholarships that will be due this summer, please call and schedule an appointment with her.
Summer Reading Program
Our school
library and our city public library are again teaming up to offer
students in Grades K-5 an
opportunity to enjoy reading all through the summer. This
year’s theme is “Catch the Reading Bug.” Students that
complete their forms and return them to the school library in
August will receive a prize package. Forms were sent home
with all K-5 students and forms are available in the library for
any JH or HS student who wants to participate. Additional
forms will be available at the public library during the
summer. Happy Reading!
Wet ‘n Wild Backyard Adventure
Water, water everywhere! Come join in the fun on June 18, 2008, at the White City Community Park from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Bring your swimsuit, old clothes, beach towel, and sandals. Children five years of age and starting Kindergarten through Fifth Grade are invited to attend these festivities. Call Loraine at 349-2283 to make a reservation.
Community-Wide Vacation Bible School
All children ages 3 years through Current 5th Graders are invited to a community-wide Vacation Bible School sponsored by the White City Methodist & Christian Churches. This year’s Bible School will be held on June 2-6 from 9:00 a.m. until Noon. VBS classes will be held at the White City Methodist Church.
