ACADEMIC PEP RALLY

White City Junior High students went to their first academic pep rally of the year on January 5, 2006. While there, students were presented awards from the Science Fair, received their 2nd nine weeks PRIDE cards, and Geography participants were recognized. The cheerleaders also did a dance and a cheer.
Awards for the Science Fair were presented on such topics as collection, apparatus, research, etc. After awards for the Science Fair were handed out, students were given their pride cards for the 2nd nine weeks. I found the difference in the number of people who got a red card (3.8 to 4.0 G.P.A.) now and the last time to be shocking. There were quite a few more this time.
The Junior. High cheerleaders performed a spectacular dance that must have taken a lot of hard work. Then the Geography Bee participants were recognized. I'm sure they are proud of themselves, for all of them did a fantastic job. I'm sure all the Junior High students enjoyed the academic pep rally.
