My name is Miss Barlow. I am your new counselor here at Hope. I have just moved here from Oklahoma where I have spent the last 7 years. I am originally from this area but after my third grade year my family moved to Yates Center, KS. I graduated from Y.C. and attended college at Emporia State where I got a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences Degree. From there I decided to move to Oklahoma and continue my education. I have a Masters degree in Social Work that I obtained from the University of Oklahoma. (Boomer Sooner!) I have worked as a counselor/social worker in several different fields. I have worked in a hospital type setting, worked with juvenile offenders, with kids who have been adopted or are in foster care, and in the school setting. This is the first experience that I have working in a school with all ages. I am excited to be here and to help each of you. Please let me know how I can best serve you and please feel free to come to me with anything.
