Hope K-8 School Supplies

2006-2007

Kindergarten

School bag to bring daily; Small bottle glue; 2 small glue sticks; Scissors (Fiskars work the best.); 1 large pkg. of #2 regular pencils; 1 large eraser; Paint Shirt (button up front, heavy, short sleeved, no t-shirts); 1 box of Zip-Lock bags (girls=quart, boys=gallon); 1 box washable markers (regular colors and no skinny ones); Box of 16 crayons (no large boxes, regular size-not primary); 1 dry erase marker; P.E. shoes with non-marking soles.  *(Please label all of your child's school supplies, coats, jackets, and school bag.)

First Grade

1 wide lined spiral notebook (70 pages); 6 #2 lead pencils (approximately 4 dozen for the year); 1 Elmer's Glue, 8 oz.; 1 large glue stick (3 for the year); 1 box of 24 crayons; primary scissors; school bag; 1 med. size school box (no big or long ones, please); 2 big boxes of Kleenex (we share!); 1 box of Zip-Lock baggies (gallon, quart, or sandwich); Paint Shirt (Dad's old shirt will do.); 1 old sock, 6 dry erase markers (3 black, 3 other colors); 2 highlighters; P.E. Shoes (no black soles).  *(Please label all of  your child's things.)

Second Grade

1 doz. #2 pencils (no mechanicals, please); 1 pencil box (cigar box size); 1 box 24-count crayons; 1 box 12-count colored pencils; 1 pair scissors (DuraSharp or Fiskars); 2 large erasers; 1 bottle Elmer's School Glue, 16 oz.; 2 large boxes Kleenex; 1 pkg. wide lined notebook paper (100 sheets); 1 two-pocket folder; 1 black erasable pen; Book Bag; P.E. shoes, no black soles  *(Please label all of your child's things.)

Third Grade

1 doz. #2 lead pencils (These will need to be replaced as your child uses them up.  Please purchase many of these while they are on sale.  For some strange reason, third graders are fascinated with the pencil sharpener!); 1 black ink erasable pen; 3 large boxes of Kleenex (replace 2nd semester); 1 hard-backed three-ring notebook (No large Trapper Keepers, please); 2 pkgs. wide lined notebook paper (again, buy more while on sale so you can replenish as necessary); 1 pkg. colored pencils; 2 Dry Erase Markers; 1 pair Fiskar scissors; 4 spiral notebooks (Non-perforated, wide rule, 70 sheets); 1 box of 24-count crayons; 1 red ink pen; 1 eraser; 1 bottle Elmer's glue; Book Bag; P.E. shoes, no black soles

Fourth Grade

#2 pencils; wide lined notebook paper; eraser (large pink); 2 black pens; 2 Dry Erase Markers; crayons; colored pencils; 1 pair Fiskar scissors; I bottle school glue; 1 ruler (inches and centimeters) 1 highlighter; 2 boxes Kleenex; Book Bag; P.E. shoes, no black soles (Please, no Trapper Keepers as we have no room to store them.)

Fifth Grade

1 ruler (inches and centimeters, non-bendable); #2 Lead Pencils; 1 pair Fiskar scissors, 4" blade; Loose leaf notebook paper, college ruled; 1 box colored pencils (at least 12); 1 box crayons (at least 48); 3 ballpoint pens (1 red, 1 black, and 1 choice of color); 1large eraser; 2 boxes Kleenex; I bottle Elmer's glue or 1 glue stick; 1 Dry Erase marker; 1 Dry Eraser; 1 pkg. Sticky-Notes (6 count); Yellow highlighter; 1 protractor; 1 compass; P.E. Shoes, no black soles

Junior High (Grades 6-8)

2 large boxes of tissue (to Homeroom teacher); #2 pencils; Loose-leaf notebook paper (college ruled); 1 pad of graph paper (1/4" grid); Glue stick; 1 hard plastic ruler (inches and centimeters); Colored Pencils; Scissors; Protractor (mandatory); Compass (mandatory); Blue, black, red, and green pens; Calculator (optional); 4 three-ring binders (1"--for English, Math, Social Studies, and Science); Five Star with Folders; Black Sharpie marker
